Description

Mahabaleshwar is a hill station located in the Satara district of Maharashtra state. As per the geographical details, these Mahabaleshwar lies into the Western Ghats ranges. Mahabaleshwar sums up three cities into its cavity. It is believed that the river Krishna springs out from the holy ‘gaumukh’ of the old Mahabaleshwar Temple. In fact, the tributaries venna and koyana are supposed to be the lord Shiva and Lord Brahma itself. The major tributaries submerging into the river Krishna, are venna, koyana, savitri and gayatri.
